In order to arouse students’ enthusiasm in activity participation, develop students’ abilities in painting as well as cultivate their creativity, on the morning of 22nd December, Anqing Foreign Language School’s Primary Department held a painting, calligraphy& handcraft competition with the theme of ‘Inheriting the Virtue’.
During the themed painting& calligraphy contest, students from Grade 1 and 2 carried through the color clay handcraft while students from Grade 3 to 6 proceeded the painting& calligraphy competition.
Fist of all, children from Grade 1 and 2 gave the rein to their imagination and positively displayed their operational abilities. They made various kinds of dessert and delicate platter by means of the modeling clay.
Second of all, the little artists from Grade 3 to 6 gave full play to their imagination and waved the paintbrushes to conduct boldness of conception, portraying their comprehension towards virtue.
Therefore, everyone was presented with pictures full of innocence, fantasy and vitality. Each and every one of the paintings was bright in color with realistic images and rich imagination, which fully demonstrated the painting level of elementary school students.
Additionally, students from upper level showcased their penmanship in the calligraphy room. They displayed their talent in calligraphy to the utmost of their capacities. The fabulous Chinese calligraphy flowed from students’ pen points just as a string of splendid notes, composing wonderful music with Chinese characters.
All in all, this competition provided students with a platform to demonstrate themselves, stimulated their imagination and aroused their initiative to participate in activities. In the meantime, the contest enabled students to obtain knowledge, cultivate their taste as well as facilitate students’ healthy development both in body and mind.
